This is the scrunched-nose happy face of a girl who loves what she does every day, the people she gets to meet and the lives she gets to document.

This… is me.

Thank you, Chris, for the reminder. :)

Can you believe it—the end of the school year is here already?! We celebrated Little Man’s last day of preschool yesterday :: and the start of what’s sure to be a fun summer!

He’s changed so much this year :: we took the photo on the left on his first day in August, and the one on the right we photographed just a week ago. Still my little man…just so much more grown up. (I don’t have much doubt that he’ll be working on the blonde highlights and flawless tan just as soon as the weather allows…)

We were blessed with fantastic teachers this year and are grateful to them for all he’s (and we’ve) learned!

I’ve admitted this before and I’m not afraid to again….I love me some delicious food, but I am a terrible cook. And in all honesty it’s a good thing my eyes can’t drool— because if they could, it would be over all these awesome bites I’ve seen on Pinterest this week.

Oh! But wait, there’s more! Food Network is gracing our lovely little town this weekend, bringing deliciousness to the people. The Great Food Truck Race is stopping through here on its way from Denver to Kansas City for the weekend as they’re taping the second season of the show, so be sure to follow Tyler Florence on twitter or catch the category #GreatFoodTruckRace. Tyler (we’re on a first name basis, apparently) already been spotted around town doing some of the early commentary. So feast your eyes and stomachs this weekend, and stop by one of the contestants’ trucks through Sunday!

I am one very proud (and very spoiled) momma. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. :) Little Man proudly made me a lovely card, with the hubs’ help, and we spent a great family day together.

I owe my family my heart and my unending gratitude for allowing me the ability to breathe life into my work, my photography, and the sacrifices we’ve made to create a future that is unlike any other. xoxo, always.

I got to meet this little beauty the other day! At nearly ten days old, she was so sweet and sleepy…

Well, words just aren’t good enough. More pictures, please. :)

Her momma had this beautiful pink headband and I just. couldn’t. resist!

Sweet baby yawns.

I love this one of mom and her newest addition.

After our lil’ peanut had enough camera time, I ventured outside where her lovely siblings were playing to create some fun, totally in-the-moment portraits of them too. How cute are they?!

The family’s oldest child is so proud of her new sister, and is pretty adorable herself.

A sweet and slightly shy next-to-oldest brother.

And the delightful little mister…whose favorite word was “no.” :)

Thanks, K family–it was such a delight to meet your new bundle of joy! Can’t wait to see you again soon!
