Itsy bitsy bugs + a GIVEAWAY!!

A company I consult with asked me to help with their annual client gift – a lovely desk calendar with whimsical illustrations for each month. Last year’s project involved stars (part of the company’s identification) :: each month’s illustration involved stars somehow, either subtle or obvious in the design.

This year the team decided to focus on typography, and each month’s illustration is comprised completely of letters. It was definitely a challenge, as it forced the vision of looking at type as shape, and not as its physical letterform. But a fun one at that – with a sweet little scene for the month of May ::

letters

How many letters do you recognize? First one to correctly determine how many different letters (z, m, p for example – and don’t count letters twice) are used in the design will win this!

I love orangebeautiful‘s work on etsy. Awesome typography, beautiful letterpress and a little sassy too—right after my own heart.

In case of a tie the winner will be selected by random.org.

Winner will be chosen Friday, December 11. Leave your comments/guesses below!!
