It’s been waaaay too long since I’ve posted a Friday Favorites. Here’s a few things I’m loving on this week:

Favorite quote: This totally made me smile yesterday from Reign Magazine.

Favorite snack: I’ve been on a green smoothie kick lately, and this tasty treat with spinach, mango and banana is seriously good. Recipe, here!

Favorite Easter treat: if I were to stuff my face with donuts (I said if…)  these would be my first, er, victim from Varsity Donuts. Who doesn’t love peeps?!

Favorite Pinterest find: I cannot wait to DIY this to my hideously ugly folding table and chairs. Here’s the how-to.

Favorite fashion: I adore absolutely everything about this look from Madewell. Hurry up, spring!

Wishing you a weekend full of love!

To me, wrapping the gifts is nearly as fun as giving them. Here’s a few of my favorite inspirations this season to wrap your holiday lovelies ::

The classic standby, Paper Source

Some ways to dress up Kraft paper from Compai

A super cute (and printable) design from Design vs. Love

Love these beautiful cotton ribbons from Angela Loguori!

For you last-minute Santas (ahem…like moi), these super cute tags are a free download from Domestifluff ::

Martha Stewart has a ton of cute & easy ideas too.

*Edited to add: Creature Comforts has an awesome roundup of DIY/printable gift tags on her site. Check ‘em out as you’re finishing up the wrapping on your last minute packages!*

Wishing you a weekend filled with blessings of love, family, and laughter :: the very best gifts of all. :)

A symbol that the holiday season has most certainly arrived….a lovely wreath welcomes your guests, the FedEx driver, or anyone else who frequents your doorstep. :)

Here are some beautiful and totally unique ways to put your thumbprint on the season. Some are so cute and an easy DIY project (how awesome is the twig wreath?!), while others can be found at your favorite online retailers. Check out some of my favorites, from sea glass or buttons, to antique/thrifted ornaments or a beautiful monogram ::

Wishing you a weekend of holiday preparations! :)

Even as the sky darkened above them, she smiled. Let it rain all it wants. She wasn’t about to let a few raindrops be what defined her wedding day. As the gentlemen dressed, snapping their suspenders while classic lines of Caddyshack rolled in the background, they chattered among themselves about the impending storm, its enormity, its impact on the day’s football game.

And rain, it did. Thundered. Turned the sky so many shades of gray and black that it made Sports Illustrated for the images captured at the football stadium the following week. (Want a peek? Click here. But then come back…this gets good!) The wind blew, and rain pounded the walls of the church as everyone prepared for the ceremony and waited for guests to arrive.

And then, there was silence. And, soon after, sunshine. Joy is so much sweeter when you’ve endured the storm, isn’t it? :)

Ryan and Melia had waited so patiently for this day :: hours and hours of planning every detail, and nothing went unnoticed. It was a day that proved how love goes beyond any rain, any adversity; that love, beyond anything else, matters.

And it’s made more fabulous with a sparkly pair of shoes.

The beautiful hardware ::

Loved the fall colors in the flowers. Simply beautiful.

Melia and Ryan opted to see each other before the ceremony and so we had time to get some beautiful portraits before their guests arrived. As the sun started to peek through the clouds, we stepped outside for a few moments…the light was soft and absolutely lovely. Again, they rocked the details :: the applique flowers on Melia’s bouquet were from Ryan’s mom’s wedding dress.

The vow exchange among the grand pipes of the bellowing organ.

After the ceremony (and a quick check of the skies to be sure more rain wasn’t in our future), we ventured to Anderson Hall on the K-State campus for a few fun portraits::

Melia and Ryan love K-State. And football. So we re-created a little game of our own. :)

Sweet moments during the toasts and their first dance ::

Melia and Ryan :: from the moments we first met I knew this day was going to be so special for the two of you. It’s been an honor to celebrate your engagement and wedding as you begin a beautiful life together…wishing you all the very, very best. Cheers!

With the Fourth of July coming this weekend, here’s a cute (and easy) way to dress up your summer celebration! The lovely Kathleen of Twig and Thistle created this last summer, and it’s definitely worth using again and again. So cute! Downloads and directions can be found here.

Happy DIY’ing!

Hooray! These gorgeous kelly green and navy flourish wedding invitations were posted at Groom Sold Separately on one of their inspiration boards.

I love this combination together, especially with a little kiss of ivory–so sassy and modern, but so elegant, too! Love!
